Selbstgebackene karibische Burger Buns

Man kann gute Burger zubereiten, aber wenn man die Buns kauft sind sie nur halb so gut. Ich finde die gekauften Buns sind nicht nur staubtrocken, sie sind auch irgendwie so pappig. Mir gefallen sie überhaupt nicht, daher werden sie selber gebacken.

Es macht ein bisschen arbeit, aber auch nicht so viel, dass es einen abschrecken könnte. Einmal ausprobiert, werdet ihr garantiert keine Buns (Burgerbrötchen) mehr kaufen. Vielleicht werden eure ersten selbstgebackene Buns schon diese karibischen sein? Diese sind nämlich vom Aroma nicht nur genial, sondern auch recht einfach zubereitbar.

Karibische Burger Buns (vegan)
mit Chia-Samen| Kokosöl| Kokosblütenzucker

Für 6-8 Buns.
Folgende Zutaten werden benötigt:
1 EL Chiasamen
3 EL Wasser
300g Dinkelmehl
200g Weizenmehl
14g Trockenhefe
2 EL Kokosblütenzucker
circa 210g lauwarmes Wasser
50g Kokosöl
Prise (Meer-)Salz

Außerdem:
Schüssel
Küchentuch/Küchenkrepp
Backpapier
Backblech

Zubereitung:

Chiasamen mit den 2 EL Wasser in eine Schüssel geben und 15 Minuten quellen lassen.

Mehle, (Meer-)Salz, Kokosblütenzucker und Trockenhefe miteinander verrühren. Kokosöl und die Chiasamen hinzugeben. 210g lauwarmes Wasser hinzu und alles gut verkneten. Den Teig etwas anfeuchten, in eine Schlüssel geben und mit einem feuchten Tuch abdecken und 25-30 Minuten gehen und ruhen lassen.

Auf einer bemehlten Flache geben und ihn in gleichgroße Stücke teilen. Die einzelnen Teiglinge rund rollen (die Hände dafür etwas befeuchten) und dann nachmals mit einem feuchten Tuch abdecken. Für 10-15 Minuten erneut gehen lassen.

Den Ofen auf 200°C Ober-/ und Unterhitze vorheizen.
Die Teiglinge auf ein mit Backpapier belegtes Backblech geben. Etwas platt drücken und mit Wasser (oder Pflanzendrink) bestreichen. Für 15-18 Minuten backen.

Aus dem Ofen nehmen und auskühlen lassen.
Wie gewohnt weiterverarbeiten.

Wer möchte, der kann auch nur Dinkelmehl verwenden. Man sollte aber dann aber gegebenenfalls die Wassermenge etwas erhöhen.
