Seit meiner Kindheit bin ich die Sesamringe dauerhaft am essen. Egal ob von meiner Oma gebacken oder in Griechenland am Strand/ in der Stadt gekauft. Aber selbstgebacken schmecken sie natürlich gleich nochmal besser.

Die Sesamringe sind sehr einfach in der Zubereitung. Auch Kinder können wunderbar mithelfen. Ich war 3 Jahre alt, als mir meine Oma das Rezept beigebracht hat. Und nun teile ich es mit euch.

Für 6 Sesamringe.

Folgende Zutaten werden benötigt:

  • 1/2 Germwürfel
  • 50 g Öl
  • 100 g Mandeldrink, lauwarm
  • 50 g Wasser, lauwarm
  • 1 TL Zucker
  • 1 TL Salz
  • 300-350 g Mehl (Dinkel oder Weizen)
  • Sesam
  • Traubensirup
  • etwas Wasser

Außerdem:

Zubereitung:

Aus Germ, Öl, Mandeldrink, Wasser, Zucker, Salz und Mehl einen Teig kneten.

Der Teig sollte schön geschmeidig sein, nicht kleben aber auch nicht zu trocken sein. Den Teig abdecken und ungefähr 30-60 Minuten ruhen lassen.

Den Teig zu einer großen Kugel formen, in sechs gleichgroße Stücke teilen und diese wiederum zu einer Kugel formen.

Dann die Kugeln zu Stränge ausrollen (mit der Handfläche, nicht mit einem Nudelholz), bis sie ungefähr 30-35 cm lang sind. Den einzelnen Strang verdrehen und zu einem Ring formen.

Einen Teller mit Sesam bereitstellen. Einen anderen Teller mit etwas Traubensirup (2-3 EL) hinstellen, den Sirup mit etwas Wasser verdünnen. Die Sesamringe erst in den Traubensirup baden, dann in den Sesam wenden.

Anschließend auf ein Backblech, welches mit Backpapier ausgelegt ist, geben.

Den Ofen auf 180°C Ober- und Unterhitze vorheizen.

23-25 Minuten backen.

Noch warm servieren oder auskühlen lassen.
