Fast 8 Jahre ist es schon her, dass das Rezept für griechischen Krautsalat auf meinen Blog online ging. Am meistens freut es mich, dass er so erfolgreich und oft nachgemacht wird. Damals, habe ich ihn als Thermomix Rezept veröffentlicht.
Oft werden ich seither gefragt, wie man ihn denn ohne Thermomix zubereiten kann. Bislang habe ich das immer einzeln beantwortet, aber da wir den griechischen Krautsalat so oft essen, halte ich für euch heute nochmal das Rezept fest, diesmal ohne Küchenhelfer.
Für 1 Schüssel griechischer Krautsalat.
Folgende Zutaten werden benötigt:
- 1 kleiner Weisskraut
- 100 ml Öl, neutrales
- 100 ml Essig
- 80 g Zucker oder Erythrit
- 10 g Meersalz
- 2 Prisen Pfeffer
- 1 EL Kümmel
- 1-2 EL Thymian, getrocknet
Zubereitung:
Die ersten zwei Blätter vom Kraut, die sind meistens etwas trocken, entfernen. Den Strunk ebenso entfernen und das Kraut kleinschneiden. In eine Schüssel geben, 5-10 Minuten mit den Händen kneten/massieren.
Alle restlichen Zutaten in einen Topf geben. Aufkochen lassen und 5 Minuten köcheln. Dann auf das Kraut gießen und gut umrühren.
Mindestens 2 Stunden ziehen lassen, am besten aber über Nacht.
Der griechische Krautsalat schmeckt auch noch 1-3 Tage nach der Zubereitung gut, meiner Meinung nach sogar noch besser.
